Čo sú párové spojky?
Párové spojky sú dvojice slov, ktoré spájajú dva paralelné vetné členy. Obe časti musia byť gramaticky rovnocenné (obe podstatné mená, obe slovesá, obe vety atď.).

Zhoda podmetu so slovesom
Keď párová spojka spája dva podmety, sloveso sa zhoduje s bližším podmetom.
Either the coach or the players are responsible. (players → are) Neither the players nor the coach is responsible. (coach → is)
Pri both…and je sloveso vždy v množnom čísle: Both the teacher and the student are present.
Paralelná štruktúra
Obe časti páru musia mať rovnakú gramatickú formu.
✗ She likes both swimming and to run. ✓ She likes both swimming and running. (oba gerundiá)
